meh day

Logged on this morning, levelled a bit, got 2k tnl 20. Dandare made lv 35 bst and totally loves the class, levellingin Yuhtunga jungle. Was gonna meet him, but realized that they don't rent choco's to < lv 20, so gonna have to delay plans to check him in action. Saw some high lvls take down bloodtear baldruf though, it was pretty fun.

Bought black mage set for Kami last night. Can't wait until I can wear it, it would be nice to get a different look for kamitaru.

lv 19

Hit lv 19 today...wasn't too hard. Killed Flies, Hares, and Goblins in {Valkurm Dunes}. Chatted with Chynnae a bit, sent her 4 stacks of crayfish paste since they were moving at all at AH.

Went back to San D'Oria to buy updated spells and equip for Kami.

got my power sandals!

I logged in this morning, grabs two stacks of prism powders and silent oils and choco'd my way to davoi.

After searching around for 20 minutes, I finally found the Jar that contains the power sandals.

misc fun

Hopped ship back to Selbina. Saw that Dan was logged on. We PT'd together for a bit, until he dinged 20...then he decided to disband PT since all of us were 18... Ran back to San D'Oria to get ready for the power sandals quest. On the way, I got invited to join a taru-only LS...lol what fun.

meh day

Spent the day buying lv 17 equip for ber's pld. Tried to PL Erric a bit, but ended up killing Kami and Erric at the same time while we got aggroed by Goblin Muggers.

Felt bad, but hey I lost exp as well, -.-

Finally ran back and got Ber and Kami ready for levelling. Went to the Konschtat Zone in the dunes, set HP and get ready for tomorrow's levelling.

exploration day

Maze of Shakhrami was pretty kool. Just hung out at the entrance where there's a natural skylight illuminating the remnants of a dragon who died long ago. Killed some even con goblins, bats, and maze makers here. Wasn't really looking to XP, just wanted to chill and explore. The competition is high for maze makers. Saw a lv 19 smn soloing off Maze makers here, so naturally I /waved him. I was gonna suggest that we PT so he can at least try out some distortion SCs, but decided that he was rank 5, I wasn't gonna initiate it. However, if he wanted to PT with us, then it would be fine. He was killing 1 mob per 3 of our kills. We decided to be good samaritans and kill off all the gobs when they spawn and leave Maze Makers for him, unless he was resting...

Ppls I guess are used to other ppls KS. I got up to a maze maker first, I saw taru drk going for the same thing, I stopped. He pulled a voke...and I'm like "wtf? it's a freaking worm you're competing me for...". So I /wave said drk and went and pulled a bat or something...geeez really...I thought everyone came to the maze to get away from the asshats at the dunes...

The bat I pulled was away from all the other bats in the vicinity. It was in the center of the pile of dragon bones, but when I pulled him, he decides to fly all the way around to the other side where his brother was so they can tag team Berdain. -.-

Things were going well, I wasn't too worried about it...until a Goblin Tinkerer decides that he wants to expend all his virtual MP pool onto Kami. Berdain threw up Invincible, we made a run for the zone.

Saw a nin and a whm right outside, the nin tried to take on a ghost that conned EP to me. Needless to say, it was a freaking disaster and the nin used his 2HR on the ghost for 30 pts of dmg.

I decide it would be the pally thing to do to kill the ghost hugging the zone line. So Provoke -> Holy Circle -> Banish, while Kami nukes it with Fire, Aero, Blizzard.

Never killed a ghost before, I have a feeling that we'll be killing alot of undead in our future.^_^

We went back to buburimu peninsula and levelled a bit there before returning to the ferry. Kill a zombie and a few goblins on the way. Got a PT invite for Berdain from a whm in the dunes ^_^. It's nice to have Berdain feel wanted instead of Kami for a change.

Gonna try and do the Power Sandals quest either tomorrow or Thursday...

a new beginning

Played pld + blm today...wow what a combo. PLD can hold hate pretty well, plus cure II at lv 17 is nice. BLM on a taru, of course, is awesome. With Ber healing himself full-time and gaining massive hate, Kami can really lay the nukes into the mobs.

It seems like the optimal battles goes something like this:

1. Ber pulls mob
2. Ber -> Provoke
3. Kami -> Bio
4. Kami -> Blind
5. Kami -> Poison
6. Ber -> Provoke
7. Kami -> Aero
8. Ber -> Cure II
9. Kami -> Fire
10. Kami -> Aero
11. Ber -> Provoke
12. Kami -> Water
13. Ber -> Cure II
14. Kami -> Aero
15. Kami -> Fire

The downside is that we have to kneel down and heal every battle, so we can't really chain mobs yet. Been too lazy to ride the choco to Jeuno->Khazam to buy pineapples, so we're gonna just rough it for a while. (Made a mental calculation that all that running around to get pineapples can just be amortized into kneeling instead.) But, I have a feeling this is going to go well and that I'll be playing this combo for a while... ^_^

Woot! Hit lv 17 tonight. Gonna pair berdain's pld + kami's blm up to level and see what happens.

lv 15

Hit lv 15 today. Fun playing with Dan and his GF. Dan was PLing caty's blm and we got to pt with Ber's pld.

Got shield bash, pretty fun stopping Goblin Bombs...

hit lv 14 today with berdain's PLD. Fun pulling in 120+ exp all the time...

so there's several options:

ber's PLD to 17, PT with Kami's blm
- if works well, take this all the way to 50+

ber's DRK to 13, PT with Kami's smn
- if works well, take this all the way to 50+

ber's THF is 15, PT with Kami's brd

Alternatively, I can:

lv up Makachan's war to 13 and PT with Kami.

create a new galka or elvaan and pt with kami.

stop the madness

Logged in today, didn't do much since I only had 1.5 hours because I decided that I wanted to 'sleep in' with my son more since he's been having a hulluva time when he wakes up early and sees that daddy is M.I.A.

Made a decision to play in JP mode for a while. Converted my PLD macros to JP and started to get used to navigating around in the menus and such...took a bit longer than I thought since I had the romanji translations for job ability and weapon skills, but don't have *spell* translations...lol.

For future reference:

Cure = kearu
Banish = banishu
Protect = purotesu
Shell = sheru
Flash = furasshu

Died again today...pulled a VT bunny from someone with 1/2 of it's life...it did whirl claws twice within 3 attacks and killed kami...then berdian...lol.

Gonna try and PL ber to 17 and PT with kami's blm...enough is enough with ping ponging around the teens... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Also gonna try and either PT kami's smn with valius (15 war) or PL ber's DRK to 13 and PT with kami's smn.

a new start

I'm starting a new journal to chronicle my daily, often boring journal about my life in Vana'Diel. My other journal, berdain will be updated only with notable events.


started off in Valkurm Dunes, pulls a few T rabbits and goblins. Made some good exp but there were 3 other parties camped by La Theine zone so lots of downtime. Went back to La Theine and killed EM-T Fungars, Crabs, and Orc....make ok exp around 2k today...1k tnl
